I hate to break this to you but everyone on either side of the issue has an agenda, including you....geezzz

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you meant the sources I've posted have an agenda? If you believe that then you haven't looked at the sources.

Now neutral88 posted a couple of C&P's that told an opposing story. However, the difference between his c&p's and my links are that his stories are anecdotal.

In other words they tell the story of one case, my links on the other hand are to legitimate studies. In case you don't understand why anecdotal evidence is regarded lightly in a debate I'll explain.

Anecdotal evidence as was supplied by neutral: I once knew a redheaded woman named Peggy, therefore people named Peggy tend to be redheaded.

See the fallacy in the logic?

My links on the other hand are to actual studies....or:

We spent 2 years, used 1212 test subjects and found that there is no appreciable connection between the name Peggy and being redheaded.

Get the idea?

So....the point being, I have backed my agenda with actual data. You have back your with vulgarity, and neutral backed his with anecdotal evidence....better than vulgarity, but still not actual evidence.

Universal Healthcare for everybody....I think it is a great system and the US government is too stupid to use it...No wait they are too greedy, Too many high dollar contracts with insurance companies for them to act human and give its people what it needs

Since this topic came up tonight, I sit down and watched Sicko on PPV. After watching that, if America cant come up with a universal health care plan to satisfy everyone(excluding the drug makers and insurance companies) Then we are not the mighty power we think we are.

Seems to me like big business in America wants us to be sick, or wants to make us think we are sick. So lets keep eating our fast food, taking prescription drugs we don't need. Its huge business. We all know its about the bottom line at the end of the day(or quarter for that matter), the greediness in this country makes me sick. Good thing I don't have to go to the hospital over it.

If something terrible does happen, and you have a long hospital stay and your insurance makes you pay say 20%. Which could end up in the 1000's of dollars, or maybe you will have to pay it all because your insurance company will find a loop hole(which they employee people to do just that). So now your stuck with a huge bill, but you didn't want universal health care because you didn't think our great country could make it work or you didn't want to pay a few extra tax dollars because you thought it wouldn't benefit you. You thought there would be longer lines and worse doctors(you know the ones who pop in for 3 minutes during your visits, and go home to their half a million dollar homes after such a hard days work), and as an American you didn't care about that person sitting beside you in the hospital lobby enough to have to wait an extra 15 to 45 minutes. The American way, greed in all its forms. Though im sure when another terrorist attack happens, we will all band together through adversity for a couple of months and then forget all about it after that.

I voted for Reagan twice. I voted for Perot Twice. I was and still am convinced that the Clinton's are, were, and always will be crooks. That doesn't change the obvious. Which is:

We have allowed greed to so completely destroy our healthcare system and insurance companies to run roughshod and unchecked over the American people to the point that the current system is NOT FIXABLE. Repeat....our system is broken and it is broken beyond repair.

Greed has done irreparable damage to the system, the only people who can't see that are the elite who don't have to worry about it and those so blinded by an ideological / political position that them no long have independent thought.

For once I'm agreeing with NSSB. Michael Moore is anti-american. He's proved that with the ignorant documentaries he's came out with. Sicko was just another way for him to attack President Bush. Farenheit 9/11 was a pathetic film, aimed at making this country look like ruthless savages.
In Sicko, all he did was show the absolutely best cases of a Universal Health Care system. He failed to show the long waiting lines, the people who do not get help right away, the Canadians that come into America for treatment.
Yes, we have one of the worst healthcare systems in the world, but it's no need for a Universal HealthCare.
Why do we have the worst system? Because so many people take advantage of it. I cannot stand seeing all these wellfare ABUSERS (not everyone abuses it) go out and get like a $1 prescription filled, and then my grandfather has to fork out however much more. That's whats wrong with America.
